Italy waylaid me in the best way ever
Overlooking the city of Montalcino - the surrounding hills are where all the beautiful Brunello is grown.
My lack of posting is Italy's fault. All Italy's fault. It called me back again - not quite six months after my last visit. This time I was in Tuscany, and I must say I'm in love.
Il mio cuore e in Italia.
I've been home a little over a week, and I'm finally back in the groove. I had a lot of catch up to do with work, and I'm a sissy when it comes to jet lag. But give me another week to finish catching up, and I'll have the East Coast Wine News back and lots of thoughts on Chianti and Brunello and Vermentino and Florence - beautiful, tourist-packed, alive-with-history Florence - and conviviality and Aperol Spritzes. Oh, the Aperol Spritzes!
How much did Italy grab hold of me this time? This morning, I started Italian language lessons.
