The taxes raised from these New Jersey wines from Auburn Road Vineyard, along with the taxes from all other wines produced in the state, may soon all go back to a state wine promotion program.

  • Julia Clancy interviewed Deidre Heekin of Vermont's La Garagista Farm + Winery in Vermont for Modern Farmer,and says Heekin spearheaded the transformation of Vermont's wine reputation and that her bottles are some of the most coveted wines in America. 

  • In the Hudson Valley, New York, wine country is a family affair according to Kathleen Wilcox in Hudson Valley Wine. She says few wine and craft beverage regions in the U.S. cater to families as well as the Hudson Valley.

  • A bill to allow 100 percent of the tax imposed on New Jersey produced wine will to go toward a state wine promotion fund in New Jersey if S-3509 is passed and signed by the governor. The bill passed the senate last week by a vote of 38-0, according to Insider NJ.

  • Laura Beausire has advise on how to camp - or more precisely glamp - through several different wine countries in the U.S. on Wine Enthusiast, including Monticello in Virginia and the Finger Lakes and East Hampton in New York. 

  • Wine Enthusiast also recently published Alexander Peartree's Complete guide to the Finger Lakes Wine Country. He suggests the wineries to visit and the places to stay in Cayuga, Keuka and Seneca Lakes.
